The soluable, insoluable and the total dietary fibre content of some Sri Lankan fruits, vegetables and pulses were determined and the effect of germination on the dietary fibre content of pulses was determined the most remarkable food was woodapple with seeds and it was found that germination can increase the dietary fibre content
